A pig's devotion to her sister

A pig's devotion to her sister

I have two pet kunekune pigs known as Bacon and Eggs. They are sisters and the best of friends.

A couple of years ago, Bacon went missing in the bush. Despite constant calling and a thorough search we couldn't find her. Eggs still came to the gate religiously for a feed in the evening, which we found strange.

Fearing the worst, I asked some friends to help me conduct one last search. We found Bacon not far from home, pinned under the branch of a tree. Around her was a nest of freshly pulled grass that her sister Eggs had made for her.

After much pulling and tugging we managed to release Bacon from her tree. With careful nurturing, she survived to tell her remarkable tale of sisterly love.
